1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Goji Pet, LLC ("Goji," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Goji platform ("Service").

Goji provides a pet care business management platform used by dog walking businesses ("Business Users") and their customers ("End Users"). This policy applies to all users of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password. Business Users also provide organization details including business name, address, and timezone.

2.2 Customer & Pet Data

Business Users and End Users may provide customer names, addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, pet names, species, breeds, weight, date of birth, veterinary information, vaccination records, and related documents.

2.3 Walk & Appointment Data

The Service records appointment schedules, walk start/end times, GPS location trails during walks, check-in photographs, walk route data, and distance traveled. GPS data is collected only during active walks and only from the walker's device.

2.4 Payment Information

We record payment amounts, transaction status, tips, and refunds. Credit card details are processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers.

2.5 Analytics Data

With your consent, we use PostHog to collect anonymized usage analytics including page views, feature usage, and performance metrics. Analytics tracking is only activated after you provide consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the page footer.

2.6 Automatically Collected Data

We automatically collect device information, browser type, IP address, and referring URLs when you access the Service. This data is used for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process appointments, payments, and refunds
  • Send transactional emails (appointment confirmations, payment receipts, account notifications)
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • Display walk routes, GPS trails, and check-in photos to authorized users
  • Generate business reports and analytics for Business Users
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Between Business Users and End Users:When an End User books an appointment through a Business User's portal, relevant information (name, pet details, address, appointment details) is shared between them to facilitate the service.
  • With staff members:Business Users' staff (walkers) can see appointment details, customer addresses, and pet information for appointments assigned to them.
  • With service providers: We share data with third-party services that help us operate the platform (see Section 5).
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Supabase

Database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Stores all application data including account information, appointments, and uploaded files.

Stripe

Payment processing for subscriptions and appointment payments. Processes and stores payment card details. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.

Vercel

Application hosting and content delivery. Processes HTTP requests and serves the web application.

PostHog

Analytics (consent-gated). Collects anonymized usage data only when you opt in through the cookie consent banner.

Resend

Transactional email delivery. Receives email addresses and message content for appointment confirmations, payment receipts, and account notifications.

Mapbox

Map rendering and GPS trail display. Receives GPS coordinates for displaying walk routes. No personal information is shared with Mapbox.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication and basic platform functionality (Supabase session cookies). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Used by PostHog for usage analytics. These are only set after you provide consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We respect the "Do Not Track" browser setting. When enabled, analytics cookies will not be set regardless of cookie consent status.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or compliance purposes.

Walk GPS data, photographs, and media are deleted when the associated account or organization is deleted. Payment transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (account deletion is available in account settings)
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Opt-out of analytics: Withdraw cookie consent at any time via the cookie settings link

8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect. Contact us at hello@goji.pet.

8.2 European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) performance of our contract with you (account and service delivery), (b) legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention), and (c) consent (analytics cookies). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
